Our walk today started from Llanarmon yn Ial, Denbighshire, bitterly cold at first as the sun was hidden behind the clouds. The walk starts at the Tomen pictured below, this was formerly a site of a Mott and Bailey Royal Castle (you would never think would you!)

The walk too us over fields, roads and past a caravan site.

On the way we saw birds feeding on the red berries still on the trees.

Magnificent trees and rocky limestone pavements with distant
views of the Clwydian range. We had our lunch here with this view and some sun.

We passed walls not as fancy as the Cyffylliog one, this wall looked more like it was thrown together without consideration of what it looked like, but it is still fit for purpose.

well that's all for now

Such nice views and wonderful sunshine. The photos probably don't show how cold it was then!!
